We are a family run company, based on the west coast of Scotland and are lucky to have one of the world’s most photogenic hinterlands. Our shores are bathed in the warming waters of the Gulf Stream, which gives us a wonderful climate and enables exotic botanical species to thrive and grow in our clean and vibrant air. All this provides a superb canvas for photography of all kinds – and when the wind blows the rain horizontally we can retreat to some of the world’s best hostelries.
This blog is dedicated to the task of improving digital images at all stages of the capture, processing and output sequence. Our our main focus on Adobe Photoshop but we also cover Apple’s Aperture software.
The digital revolution in photography is gathering pace in all areas including hardware, software and printing. With new DSLR camera models being introduced almost every month, pixel counts soaring, memory prices dropping like a stone, video recording being added to new camera models, online and offline possibilities for image processing expanding and the ability to make photobooks easily, now is a wonderful time to be working in digital imaging.

As part of the natural growth of Improved Images we have expanded to provide a number of core services as well as our blog. These now include photograph scanning, photographic training by an Adobe Certified Expert and DSLR sensor cleaning services. We want to share our techniques so we have a new course designed to help DSLR camera owners save hundreds of pounds over the life of their camera. We are so confident of our DSLR camera sensor cleaning course that we provide hands on training with our own DSLR’s.
